Education
I graduated from the University of Newcastle with my Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics with an Honors Class 1 University medal. I am currently undertaking my Ph.D. in Medical Biochemistry.
Experience
I am currently an Accredited Practicing Dietitian. While I studied at the university, I achieved only High Distinctions and Distinctions with a grade point average of 6.8. I have been a Faculty of Health Scholar since the program commenced 2 years ago and was awarded Class 1 honors in the final year of my degree. Classes I have taken range from chemistry to nutrition, to human biomedical science and pathophysiology. The courses I provide tutoring for include Biomedical Science at 1404, 1403, 2206, 2207, and 2505 levels, as well as all NUDI subjects for the Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics. I am highly motivated and organized, with the ability to explain hard concepts in a way that anyone can understand. I have previous experience tutoring human biology subjects at a university level.

Hobbies
My main interests are nutrition and fitness. I also love learning about the way the body works and how it interacts with the environment. I am currently undertaking my PhD in medical biochemistry. My thesis is looking at Dietary Fibre as a Modulator of Inflammation in Asthma. I am also working as a research assistant for 2 research groups. One position involves conducting dietetic consultations and the other involves laboratory analysis of plasma carotenoids and plasma fatty acids which are biomarkers of dietary fruit and vegetables and dietary fat respectively.
