I am Malaysian Chinese and Mandarin Chinese is my mother tongue (almost all of my family speaks Mandarin!). I am very fluent at conversational Mandarin Chinese, as well as reading and writing in the language. I am eager to help students who are interested in learning Mandarin. When I see students improving little by little, I feel a sense of accomplishment; along the way, I also teach them about Chinese culture. Learning a different language takes practice, but I can provide the teaching method, study materials, and insights to help you learn. I guide lessons with reading materials and by breaking down the language into small bits, starting with the basics. Familiar images and topics are often included in lessons so that my students can relate to the subject matter. Over time, this can help them identify with Mandarin and feel more comfortable and confident in learning and applying it.
